Cinnamon Chex Mix . . . Sweet, crunchy, and packed with cinnamon sugar flavor, this snack mix is guaranteed to bring rave reviews!
This snack mix is super yummy, especially if you are a fan of cinnamon/sugar treats. (Who isn’t?) The recipe kind of came out of desperation. We buy the boxes of Chex cereal that Sam’s Club carries around the holidays. They have one bag of Rice Chex, one of Wheat Chex, and one of Corn Chex.
Apparently none of my kids like the rice variety, because we always end up with a bunch of bags of it leftover. One night my oldest son needed to take a snack to a party, so I decided to make Chex mix to get rid of some of our stash. We love the flavor of the Cinnamon Roll Caramel Corn that I posted a couple years ago, so I decided to try and mimic it in Chex Mix form. Oh my. It is delish!
It’s yummy just with the cinnamon-y caramel sauce, but the white chocolate takes it up a step. Needless to say, my son came home with an empty bowl- always a sign of a successful recipe! Hope you like it as much as we do!

Pour cereal into a very large mixing bowl and set aside.
Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, and corn syrup in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in soda and vanilla. Pour over cereal and stir lightly till all pieces are coated.
Spread onto a greased cookie sheet with sides. Mine is 15x10". Bake at 250° for about 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
Pour onto parchment paper to cool.
Melt white chips in a glass bowl in the microwave at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds. Drizzle over cooled Chex mix.
I have also used these ingredients on. corn flakes & rice krispies. Yummy so good thinks for this one never tried Chex

I am too! We buy the big box at Sam’s that has wheat, corn, and rice. No one in my family liked the Rice Chex for breakfast, so I’m always using them into Chex Mix. There sure are a lot of yummy varieties! 🙂

Oh man, I know just how you feel. Can’t go a day without my carbs. I would die on Atkins!
The three types of cereal are usually Corn Chex, Rice Chex, and Wheat Chex. Beyond that, pretzels, peanuts, and some kind of cracker or rye chip are standard. Is it cheaper to buy Chex Mix or make your own? Homemade Chex Mix is cheaper AND better tasting than anything you can buy at the store.
In addition to its great taste, Cinnamon Chex also offers several nutritional advantages. It is low in calories and fat, making it a suitable choice for those watching their weight. Furthermore, it contains essential vitamins and minerals, including iron and calcium, which contribute to overall health and wellbeing.
For the cinnamon crunch topping, whisk brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter and a touch of flour together. Spoon cinnamon crunch topping all over bread, then bake. In the written recipe below, I recommend placing a baking sheet on a lower oven rack to catch any cinnamon sugar that may drip down as the bread bakes.
Who doesn't love traditional Chex Mix? It's salty, crunchy, and everyone has a favorite item– the perfect party snack! But sadly, what makes it taste so good also makes Chex Mix not the healthiest option. It's full of refined grains, sugar, and tons of sodium.
To avoid soggy Chex mix, make sure to toss the ingredients well with the butter mixture and spread out on a large pan. Keeping toasting in the oven and tossing until the Chex mix is well-coated and dry. It will further dry out as it cools.
Unlike other Chex varieties, Wheat Chex are made from 100% whole-grain wheat. One serving contains only 130 calories but boasts 7 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber. While it is on the higher end for sugars, the overall nutrient profile of this cereal is still noteworthy.
Chex is an American brand of breakfast cereal currently manufactured by General Mills. It was originally known as Shredded Ralston, first produced in 1936 and owned by Ralston Purina of St. Louis, Missouri, then later renamed Chex in 1950.
